George Alan Kelly says he observed armed men trespassing on his ranch and feared for his family’s safety after repeated incursions by illegal aliens and foreign criminals
Immigration news outlet Border Hawk shared an exclusive update from the trial of George Alan Kelly, a 75-year-old rancher charged with murder after an illegal alien was found shot dead on Kelly’s property in southern Arizona in January of 2023.
Kelly says he observed armed men trespassing on his ranch that day and feared for his family’s safety after repeated incursions onto his land by illegal aliens and foreign criminals.
No bullet was found at the scene and Kelly’s defense is arguing that there is no proof he killed the victim, 48-year-old Mexican citizen Gabriel Cuen-Buitimea.
Cuen-Buitimea was caught illegally entering the U.S. and deported on multiple prior occasions.
Evidence suggests Cuen-Buitimea may have been trying to avoid detection by wearing ‘camouflage’ attire and that he also may have been involved in drug smuggling.
The primary witness in the case is a Honduran illegal alien, Daniel Ramirez, who reportedly has a history of drug convictions in the U.S.
Border Hawk says they will continue to monitor this trial from Santa Cruz County Superior Court in Nogales, AZ, as it progresses in the coming weeks.
